Cally Younger

ATTORNEY Boise

Licensed in Idaho and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

Prior to joining Malek + Malek, Cally Younger built her career inside state and federal government. At the firm, she focuses on government affairs, land and resource law, and transactional legal work.

Cally began her legal career as Legal Counsel and Policy Advisor at Idaho’s Office of Species Conservation and later served as General Counsel to Governor “Butch” Otter. She then spent more than seven years at the U.S. Department of the Interior as an Attorney-Advisor, Deputy Solicitor for the Division of Land Resources, and Counsel to the Director of the Bureau of Land Management. Most recently, she served as Administrator of the Idaho Governor’s Office of Species, Minerals, and Energy Coordination (OSMEC), where she led the consolidation of three state agencies into a single office.

After years of shaping policy for the public sector, Cally shifted to private practice to work more directly with the people on the ground.

Outside the office, Cally tries to make it to every sporting event her kids are playing in – with four children at home and one out of the house, that is no small commitment! She also bakes and spends as much time outdoors as she can, and has led the Moms’ ministry at her church.
